Hi there! I'm Rob.
Welcome to Slim+Dave's very own website (which I'll do my best to update once a week, but there might be the odd bump along the road). A little while ago I began writing for a film blog I'd been a fan of for a while, the unfortunately now defunct EatSleepLiveFilm.com (whose memory lives on untouched over at www.eatsleeplivefilm.com).
It was my first time creating anything of any note at all on the web, and I spent my first few months writing articles on whatever took my fancy film-wise. Superhero movies, a few articles poking fun at B-Movies, and a few other bits and bobs, including a single review where I was actually referred to as an 'esteemed member of the press' (the most gratifyingly formal thing I've ever been called). But after a while I decided to have a go doing what I'd always wanted to do (even more so than writing) and create my own webcomic.
The guys at the site were as gratefully willing as ever and so began Slim+Dave's life as a bit of a bonus for a site mainly focused on the written word. After about 8 months at the site and 8 Slim+Daves knocked out in the last couple of those months, the site closed its doors and called it a day so those in charge could hopefully move on to bigger and better things.
So I decided to hopefully do the same and here we are, SlimandDave.com, the comic's new home.
